You Can Now Give Zakat Through AL-WALIY CHARITY FOUNDATION

Zakat (Almsgiving) is at the center of the five fundamental Pillars of Islam. And to make us understand how essential it is, Allah (SWT) always mentioned it in the Quran alongside Salat (Prayer).
Zakat is a mandatory prescribed percentage of 2.5% of one’s income or wealth that all believers are required to pay in form of charity to mainly the poor and the needy as an obligation to The Almighty Allah, provided one’s income meets the threshold, also known as Nisab.

Because Allah loves us and HE (Allah) knows exactly how we accumulate our wealth, He prescribed Zakat on us, so it could cleanse our wealth and purify our souls. Zakat is one of the ways through which Allah (SWT) ensures that the Zakat receiving “eight” categories get their fair share of basic necessities and welfare but also at the same time, Allah (SWT) rewards and blesses the giver in this life and the hereafter in multitudes

As narrated by Abu Huraira (RA); He said, “One who pays Zakat, Allah will make their wealth increase” (Sahih Bukhari). Therefore, Zakat is not just some little money that Muslims give to those in need, but rather a worthy investment. Allah (SWT) has mentioned in the Quran that for those who give money to the poor, HE the Almighty will multiply this deed (in His account) many times that it would even become an act that would save the giver on the Day of Judgement.

Allah’s Apostle also goes on to say: "Whoever is made wealthier by Allah and does not pay Zakat from his wealth, on the Day of Resurrection his wealth will be made like a bald-headed poisonous male snake with two black spots over the eyes. Narrated Abu Huraira (RA)

At AL-WALIY CHARITY FOUNDATION, we help you collect your Zakat and distribute it amongst the prescribed recipients as guided by the Quran and the Hadith of the Prophet (PBUH). It’s also agreed upon by most scholars, that the collectors of Zakat are amongst the eight categories that are eligible to receive a portion of it, and as such AL-WALIY CHARITY FOUNDATION is eligible to use up to 15% of the donations collected as Zakat to run the operations of the foundation.
